What size are your candles?

Our Idaho Candles are a generous 16 ounces and have a burn time of 90-100 hours.

When will I get my order?

We try and fulfill all orders within two weeks. Wholesale orders within three weeks. Please be patient if you have not received your order in the times frames listed. We are hand making your candles. Thank you for your support of our small business.

Why is my candle sweating?

Candles sweat! That’s right: they sweat. What does that mean, you ask? Well, natural fragrance oils and vegan wax can sometimes suffer in temperature-varying climates. This can cause some “sweat” to form around the top of your candle. It’s nothing to fear, just take a cloth or paper towel and wipe out your top! Your candle will burn as beautifully as ever. Ps: TRIM YOUR WICK BEFORE EVERY LIGHTING!

How do I properly burn my candle?

For optimal burning of your candle, the first burn is the most important. Candles should burn one hour for every 1 inch in diameter of the actual candle size. For example, a candle that is 2 inches across should burn for 2 hours. If a candle is not burned for long enough to allow the wax to liquefy or to melt from edge to edge of the container, it will create a “memory ring.” Once a candle has a “memory ring,” it will continue to tunnel for the life of the candle. If you start to get wax clinging to the sides of your jar you may microwave the jar on low for 30 second increments to slightly melt it.

Are your candles Eco friendly?

Yes! We use all American Midwest grown soy wax. Our wicks are constructed from flat cotton threads interwoven with paper thread. They are lead and zinc free. Our corks are biodegradable and the glass jars we use are American made glass and can be reused or recycled after use.

Are your fragrances natural?

As with most candles, our fragrance contains both natural and synthetic ingredients. Please keep in mind that just because a product uses all natural materials does not mean that it is safer or contains fewer allergens. It is not feasible to formulate a home fragrance product as organic. It would make our products very expensive, it could deplete natural resources, and our products would not have the same signature scents that you love.

Are your candles clean?

We want your home to be a toxin-free zone, which is why we’re conscious of our ingredients. Every hand-poured candle never has parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and is always cruelty free.

How can I prevent the candle wick from smoking?

Snip your wick! Wicks are happiest when at a very short (⅛ inch) height. After your first burn, use a pair of scissors to trim the wick to the right length, ensuring a steady, ash-free flame.

How do I burn candles safely?

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep lit candle in sight at all times!

Keep lit candles away from drafts--open windows, air conditioners, vents, fans, etc.

Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

Extinguish the flame if it becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Trim the wick and check for drafts before re-lighting.

If there is any chance you might doze off to sleep, blow out your candle immediately!

If you’ve created a large wax pool during your burn, blow it out gently to avoid wax splattering.

Candles in a jar or a container should be disposed of when they have half an inch of wax left in them. Without enough wax as a buffer, the flame can ignite debris (like a match particle or bits of wick that’s been left in the candle) and cause a blaze to flare up.  Even if a fire doesn’t ignite, the low-level of wax in the jar increases the likelihood of the flame brushing against the sides and the bottom.  If the glass gets hot enough, it could shatter.  If you let the wax burn lower than half an inch, you are putting your home at risk.

NEVER try to put out a candle with any source of water. Wax fires can be caused by dousing boiling wax with water.

How do you come up with the fragrance profiles of these locations?⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀It’s a question we get daily. Sometimes, we perfume a beautiful combination and start researching locations or landmarks that will coincide with the fragrance mixture. Most of the time though, we know which locale we are shooting for so we start the perfuming process based on research of flora and fauna in the area. But, it’s not just agriculture or scenery that inspires us. We try to channel memories. Deseree shares what inspired Twin Falls. “What do I think of when I close my eyes and recall my favorite Magic Valley memories? The canyon rim. Secret waterfalls. Centennial Park. Getting my legs all scratched up by sagebrush when hiking to the Hidden Lakes. The way the air smells like earth and water. The aroma of wildflowers. The stories of my great grandpa Winterholer and his integral role in the Perrine Bridge and Blue Lakes. Family picnics at Rock Creek. Running through the Hempleman acreage of corn fields and alfalfa.”
