Meet Eryn and Deseree, friends of 20 years. One day, they decided to take their friendship to the next level: they became business partners.

Eryn, skilled in the craft of candle creation, complemented Deseree's innate knack for relationship building and sales. United by a deep love for their native Idaho and a shared desire to flex their entrepreneurial and creative muscles, the duo birthed Idaho Candle Company in August 2018, all within the confines of a small North End Boise kitchen.

The enterprise flourished and quickly expanded by adding three other ventures to the Idaho Candle Company umbrella--1939 LABS + CREATIVE, Les Bois luxury fragrance, and STATE X STATE. What had started as just social media sales and craft shows transitioned into dozens of retailers, national distribution, and to over 70,000 units sold.

From that scorching Boise summer in a kitchen with no air conditioning to the present, Idaho Candle Company has stayed fully committed to ethical packaging, local printing, using only essential oils and nontoxic fragrances, sourcing American-grown soy wax, and lowering the overall carbon footprint of their products.

Beyond their business pursuits, the duo actively supports local enterprises through collaborative initiatives. Idaho Candle Company works with several nonprofits, aiding causes ranging from domestic violence networks, food banks, interfaith shelters, breast cancer outreach, to green initiatives and social justice organizations.
